I use an integrated approach to psychotherapy, combining elements of emotionally-focused, experiential, and cognitive-behavioural approaches. I believe that my training in these complementary techniques helps me to adapt my interventions to the unique needs of each of my clients. I work with clients to establish a therapeutic relationship that is built on trust, collaboration, openness, acceptance, and respect.
I am currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings - including hospitals and community-based mental health settings - with adults, adolescents, school-aged children, and families experiencing a wide-range of concerns. I have a special interest in working with children and families who have experienced maltreatment (abuse, neglect), trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional and behavioural disruptions, and social-skills problems. I have experience in providing individual, family, and group therapy, and psychological and psycho-educational assessments.
I currently practice out of the West Carleton Family Health Team and Ottawa Couple and Family Institute.
